Replay XD
Comparable to companies like GoPro, Replay XD made action cameras. While I was there I did packaging design, product development, website and trade show design. We managed multiple sponsored athletes and leveraged social media to market our product through these influencers in very specific verticles. We found success in the Automotive markets and Tactical arenas due to the camera's small metal exterior. The footage was much more stable than the competitors because of the different metal mounts that were available.
I exercised all of my graphic design skills while learning new skills and trades like 3D and large format printing.
I was excited to be working with professional racecar drivers going through footage with them looking for a crash or a close call. We often met people that were pushing the boundaries themselves and needed a way to document their exploits. For example; tornado hunters that needed cameras that can withstand extreme environments. This position opened doors for me all over Southern California and I valued my time there.

This packaging was designed around an existing hardshell. It was a challenge because it was a larger camera than previous versions. I made simple dieline adjustments that not only made the larger camera fit but it resulted in saving the company ~$20K in the overall production run of the camera. I removed the mount that was basically glued on to the box and allowed the camera to lock in to place on the cardboard box with some simple dieline cutouts.POP displays
